In 2021, I co-wrote and published Build Better Worlds, a book that bridges anthropology and worldbuilding to support diversity education and classroom innovation. The book uses core concepts from cultural anthropology to guide students in constructing fictional societies, helping them explore cultural systems, values, and perspectives in a creative, hands-on way. I redesigned my college courses around this approach, shifting to collaborative, project-based learning where students apply anthropological insight to build their own fictional worlds. This method fosters deeper understanding of diversity, systems thinking, and cross-cultural awareness through immersive, experiential learning.
